I almost gave up on protein shakes!

I have been using protein shakes for the past 14 years! About 5 years ago I started to have really bad headaches, stomach cramps, constipation and the feeling of hunger even after taking my shake! I was thinking …“Is feeling sick what it takes to get lean”?

My customers were complaining about the same symptoms. I had to stop using my soy based protein and started looking for something else.

I tried so many different products! MANY types of protein bars and shake but I always got stomach cramps after 30 minutes of eating them…I was getting to think it was me and that I had a sensitive digestive tract….until…I discovered the dark side of soy.

6 months ago my company Sisel International launched the new SiselLean shake. The first thing I wanted to know was: Is it a soy protein shake? When I hear that it was not, I was so thrilled and couldn’t wait to try it! I had been desapointed so many times and I have to be honest, when I took it for the first time, I was just waiting for the cramps to start…they never did…I am in heaven!

What made it possible for me to safely start taking protein shakes…

SiseLEAN’s high-end protein fuels lean muscle growth so you can look Fit and Fabulous! We utilize Micellar casein (bonded with calcium ions) and whey protein concentrates.

The term “Micellar” means that the ingredients are natural, highly purified, and super filtered at low temperatures to save and concentrate the effective properties within them. Our protein contains an exquisite array of highly potent natural peptides and polypeptides offering spectacular, unparalleled support for fat burning, lean tissue building, and appetite control.

The Problem with Some Other Soy or Whey Proteins

The soy or whey protein used in many meal replacement shakes are superheated during their normal processing. The high temperatures break down what may be the essential and vital components of the ingredients into a disarray of degraded, fragmented proteins (similar to the way that cooking vegetables destroys many of the raw food’s vitamins and nutrients).

These denatured, degraded proteins may very likely be devoid of biologically active properties. Their crude proteins can be used by the body, but the dynamics they possessed are very likely gone.

Beyond the Protein

In addition to our Micellar protein, which fuels lean muscle growth, SiseLEAN also contains fiber, which makes you feel full and prevents you from flipping into binge mode. It also features numerous vitamins to energize your motor to sustain your focus and discipline.

Be. Lean.
You will love to look and feel lean. Order SiseLEAN now, and prepare to be amazed. You’ve never managed your weight like this before.

This is an in depth look at how really bad stuff gets in our homes, on and inside our bodies and how they can cause damage to our health. Take back your life and get the information you need to make informed decisions about harmful ingredients.

A first-of-its-kind, peer-reviewed study published in Environmental Health Perspectives today reveals an alarming number of unlabeled chemicals of concern in commonly used household and personal care products.

The study which had 213 consumer products (in 50 categories) independently tested by Battelle Labs in Ohio for 66 specific chemicals associated with either endocrine disruption or asthma.

The study included both conventional products, such as Windex original glass cleaner and Irish Spring deodorant soap, as well as “alternative” products marketed as containing safer ingredients than their conventional counterparts, such as Seventh Generation Free and Clear natural glass and surface cleaner and Tom’s of Maine natural moisturizing body bar.

Scary Stuff

Lab tests detected 55 chemicals of concern–including parabens, phthalates, bisphenol A (BPA), antimicrobials, cyclosiloxanes, glycol ethers, and fragrances–in the conventional product samples tested and also found 41 concerning chemical compounds in all but 11 alternative products.

Very few of these chemicals were included on product labels. The study cited the following findings as particularly important:

• Vinyl products, such as shower curtains and pillow protectors, contain more than 10% by weight of the phthalate DEHP, an endocrine disruptor (anti-androgen) that has also been associated with increased respiratory symptoms in some studies.

• Fragranced products – including air fresheners, dryer sheets, and perfume – and sunscreens had the largest number of target chemicals and some of the highest concentrations. Fragrances can trigger asthma and some have been shown to mimic estrogen, including making breast cancer cells grow in laboratory studies.
• In addition to the labeled ingredients, alternative sunscreens contained up to 7 target chemicals that were unlabeled, including estrogenic UV filters. The alternative sunscreen with the highest number of target chemicals was a product marketed for babies, children, and sensitive adults.

• A consumer who used the tested alternative surface cleaner, tub and tile cleaner, laundry detergent, bar soap, shampoo and conditioner, facial cleanser and lotion, and toothpaste would be exposed to 19 of the target compounds

I have partnered with Sisel because I feel in my heart that with the help of this company and team, I can truly make people aware that we have choices!

Sisel strives to avoid potentially harmful ingredients found in common, off-the-shelf products and use only the most pure, potent, safe, and effective ingredients nature has to offer. SISEL’s products are manufactured under the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standard, and are rigorously controlled to ensure the highest quality in each and every product we produce.

Many disregard health as important until something negative occurs. It may be a situation of someone close passing away or as simple as falling ill themselves.

Many disregard health as important until something negative occurs. It may be a situation of someone close passing away or as simple as falling ill themselves.

The self talk that follows includes grand plans of what will be undertaken once they have recovered. However, only a small percentage will actually do anything to promote a better and healthier lifestyle.

It is then that the cycle occurs again and the self talk runs its usual conversation of what is going to be done and again, once they have recovered all is forgotten.

The frightening part is that some years down the road, be it five years, ten years or even twenty years in some cases, they become seriously ill where recovery no longer is possible, and this could have been prevented if they had implemented one small step towards sickness prevention all those years before.

Whilst this is no surprise because it is common knowledge and yet, prevention as well as being healthy are continually put to the bottom of the priority list. The usual excuse (reason) is having a lack of time or not enough money.

In terms of money, it is never about the money. The reality being that if spending a few hundred saved thousands later wouldn’t the choice be obvious?

In terms of time, it is the same as money – a reason, an excuse to avoid and confront something that is unknown and cannot be controlled.

This then is compounded when including other elements into the equation, such as the professional aspect of life. A high level of stress is commonly accepted and yet completely detrimental to the well being of the individual. The remedy is to work more, avoid more and simply believe that it can be dealt with later.

The irony is that all of this impacts on motivation; the level of motivation and the ability to sustain motivation.

It is a wheel of disaster waiting to happen. Little by little the stress increases, frustration sets in, exercise becomes a forgotten luxury, home becomes a burden and the person that once started out happy, motivated and energetic becomes the complete opposite.

Why does this happen? Simply because they chose to avoid undertaking one step towards their own healthy motivation.

Many believe that if they were motivated then all of the issues and challenges that are faced would be easily resolved. However, in order to have motivation the issues and challenges need to be resolved. The catch 22 of motivation.

The solution is extremely easy and costs nothing. Make health a priority and commit to undertaking one thing per day for health. This can be exercise, diet, relaxing, releasing some of the built up stress or even all of the above. It does not need to be for hours on end or require wearing the latest fashion attire.

This incredibly uncomplicated strategy will assist in maintaining a balanced life, the energy needed to do everything that is wanted and the motivation will be nicely present every single day.

A healthy motivation is simply committing to making you a priority.

I was on facebook today and read this message from Tom Mower, president and founder of Sisel International and truly felt it was important to share these new facts about estrogen levels.

Caffeine changes women’s estrogen levels and has different effects in Asian, Blacks than in White women, a new study says.
More than 250 women, ages 18 to 44, took part in the study between 2005 and 2007. On average, they consumed 90 milligrams of caffeine a day, about the equivalent of one cup of caffeinated coffee.

Asian & Black women who consumed an average of 200 milligrams or more of caffeine… a day (equivalent to about two cups of coffee) had elevated estrogen levels compared to women who consumed less. But white women who consumed the same amount of caffeine had slightly lower estrogen levels than women who consumed less said the U.S. National Institutes of Health researchers.

The caffeine consumed by the women in the study came from any of these sources: coffee, black tea, green tea and caffeinated soda.

Consuming 200 milligrams of caffeine from coffee mirrored the overall findings. But consumption of more than one cup each day of caffeinated soda or green tea was associated with higher estrogen in all three groups of women.

The caffeine-related changes in estrogen levels did not appear to affect women’s ovulation.
“The results indicate that caffeine consumption among women of child-bearing age influences estrogen levels,” U.S. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development said.

“Short term, these variations in estrogen levels among different groups do not appear to have any pronounced effects. We know that variations in estrogen level are associated with such disorders as endometriosis, osteoporosis, and endometrial, breast and ovarian cancers.

Because long-term caffeine consumption has the potential to influence estrogen levels over a long period of time, it makes sense to take caffeine consumption into account when designing studies to understand these disorders,”

Do you drink coffee or tea?

I want to invite you to start creating new thinking habits for yourself and also share this concept with your loved ones. Write down and share these affirmations …
1. I will be as cheerful as possible.
2. I will try to feel and act a little more friendly toward other people.
3. I am going to be a little less critical and a little more tolerant of other people, their faults, failings and mistakes. I will place the best possible interpretation upon their actions.
4. Insofar as possible, I am going to act as if success were inevitable, and I already am the sort of personality I want to be. I will practice “acting like” and “feeling like” this new personality.
5. I will not let my own opinion color facts in a pessimistic or negative way.
6. I will practice smiling at least three times during the day.
7. Regardless of what happens, I will react as calmly and as intelligently as possible.
8. I will ignore completely and close my mind to all those pessimistic and negative “facts” which I can do nothing to change.

A woman, courage bolstered by a few drinks too many, accosted Picasso at a function.
“Mr. Picasso,” she barked, “could I ask you a question?” Picasso humoured her. “Why
don’t you paint people properly?” she exclaimed. Picasso looked quizzical, “What ever
do you mean, madam?” The woman rummaged through her handbag and produced a
black and white photo of her husband. Thrusting it under Picasso’s nose she
continued, “Like this! Like this! This is how real people look, not like your awful
paintings of them, with the eyes all over the place, and the ears on top of the head!
This is my husband, you see?” Picasso took the picture from her and inspected it
casually. He paused, and returned the photograph to her sniffing, “He’s very small and
flat then, madam, isn’t he?” First lesson of modern art: not everyone visualises things
in the same way. Do not try to force your inner pictures to become “photographic.

We all need to have our own unique vision!

Freedom is Vision

(Inspired by Psycho Cybernetics, 1960, Author Maxwell Maltz)

People often fear, consciously or unconsciously, that

if they define their goals and make them precise they will

in some way lose their freedom to be spontaneous.

Some say it takes away from living moment to moment.

I don’t think it’s true…

In fact, it’s only through personal vision that man can

achieve psychological freedom in any significant sense of

the word!

We have goals and desires whether we decide to face them

or not. By picturing our goals we accept the truth of our desires

in an authentic way that allows us to deal with, their contradictions or negative self-talk.

If I have no vision I am motivated by conflicting and unconscious motives.

If I have a vision I have the freedom to resolve these conflicts and to refine, modify and improve my goals.

No vision means no control.

So I am excited to donate this painting to the Music and Art Department of my daughter's school and I hope we can raise enough money to get...

As I am about to go to my daughter’s winter concert, I am proud to glance at her and see how much she has prepared well for her concert. She loves to sing and so does her brother. That’s why I am thrilled to be helping the Arts by donating Art!

As you might have guest, I am an artist. I studied graphic design but my true love is painting. I call it “emotion of women on canvas because I mainly paint women.

My daughter Meghann loves to paint as well. I feel so strongly about the quality of teaching our kids receive because it makes them appreciate Art.

The school Meghann goes to has strong Art programs. One of the great thing about the program is that it integrates the arts in core subjects throughout the curriculum. That’s definitely a wonderful way to have children view art as a culture.

Recently while discussing with one of the music teacher, I was told that the stage lighting system for the school auditorium is about to give out…now I hear the sound system is not doing well either!

The Art department needs around $1500.00 to get brand new lights so we can see our children shine even brighter! As for a new sound system…I don’t know yet.

I went ahead and offered to do a painting to raise money at this year’s winter concert and I created it on December 31. We will do a double take and sell ticket during the Spring concert as well!

It’s awesome when we start to discover our children’s interests and especially their love for Art and music. If they express the desire to take lessons I think it’s important to encourage them.

Enrolling them at the YMCA is a great start! This will get them to meet other kids with similar interests. This is so important for their social life and to express their talent outside school. In a way it add a dimension to their interests in developing new skills and this opens doors for them to see what is possible.

So I am excited to donate this painting to the Music and Art Department of my daughter’s school and I hope we can raise enough money to get a new lighting system! This will lift the spirit of the teachers and it will have our children shine like little stars!

Let me know if you have done something similar or know someone who did…I would love to know if you have ideas that could help us promote this before the spring concert.

~~~..~~~
I dream my painting and then paint my dream.
-Vincent Van Gogh
A child’s attitude toward everything is an artist’s attitude.
-Willa Cather
To draw you must close your eyes and sing.
-Pablo Picasso
People want Art. And they are given it. But the less Art there is in painting the more painting there is.
-Pablo Picasso
